Indoor 2025/2026 Program Guide
Everything You Need to Know Before You Register

Welcome to Cold Lake Soccer!
It’s time to register for our Indoor 2025/2026 season — whether this is your first time joining us or you’ve been part of our community for years, we’re excited to have you!

We offer programs for ages 4 to 99, ensuring opportunities for every skill level — from first-time players to lifelong soccer lovers.

Program Overview

What’s New This Season?

We’ve restructured our indoor program to improve player development, increase participation, and create a more consistent experience for everyone. Based on the success of the 2025 outdoor season, changes include:

  • Updated scheduling & formats
    • Defined practice structures
    • More clearly outlined volunteer roles
    • Two distinct league options
    • Expanded opportunities for adult players

League Options

1. House League (U5 - U19)

No tiering or tryouts — open to all players not registered in Tier 4.
Two events per week: 1 practice + 1 game/fun day.
Players grouped by age, based on registration numbers and available facility space.
Led by a head coach and assistant coach.

2. Tier 4 League (U9 - U19)

For players seeking higher development and competitive play.
Requires travel and some weekend commitments.
Plays in the Lakeland League against other clubs (Bonnyville, St. Paul, Lac La Biche, etc.).
Three events per week: 2 practices + 1 game/fun day.
Number of teams depends on the availability of qualified coaches.

3. Adult Co-Ed League (16+)

Open to all skill levels, including beginners.
Sign up individually or as a team.
Intra-Cold Lake play only.

Important Updates

? No Volunteer Bonds or Bingo - Volunteering is optional, with financial incentives for those who help.
? No Waitlists - If you sign up, we’ll find you a team!
? Travel Bond for Tier 4 Teams - Now in effect to ensure commitment to traveling for league and tournament play.

Season Dates

  • Tier 4 League: October - mid-March (exact times and dates TBD)
    • House League: October - mid-March (exact times and dates TBD)
    • Tier 4 Player Assessments: September (exact times TBD)

Registration Process

  1. Choose your league (House or Tier 4) during registration.
    2. Tier 4 Players (U9-U19) must attend player assessments in late September.
    3. After assessments:
    - Players can confirm Tier 4 placement OR switch to House League.
    - If not selected, they will be moved to House League (fee difference refunded) or may opt out with a full refund.

    Why Assessments?
    To balance team skill levels and ensure players are placed where they will develop best.

    Minimum Playing Time for Tier 4 Players:
    • 50% of House League matches.
    • 25% of Lakeland League/Lakeland Cup/tournament matches.

Locations

  • Tier 4 & Adult League: Energy Centre Field House.
    • House League: Practices at J.J. Par School Gym; Games/Fun Days at Energy Centre.
    (Locations subject to change based on registration numbers.)

Schedule & Commitments

Games Per Week:
• House League: 1/week (Oct-mid-March).
• Tier 4 League: Lakeland League schedule + play in the next highest age group’s House League.
• Adult League: 1/week (game or scrimmage).

Practices Per Week:
• House League: 1/week (mid-October start).
• Tier 4 League: 2/week (max 3 events/week).
• Adult League: 1/week scrimmage (registration required).

Specialized Practice Formats

  • House League: Shared head coach between two teams, each with its own assistant coach.
    • Tier 4 League: Tactical themes and consistent training structure across all teams.

Season End Events

  • House League: FunFest - second weekend of March (tentative).
    • Tier 4: Lakeland Cup - second weekend of March (tentative).
    • Adult League: Ends mid-March.

Tournaments

  • House League: Optional, parent-funded.
    • Tier 4: Lakeland Cup + 2 out-of-district tournaments included in fees.
    • Adult League: Optional, player-funded.

Equipment

  • House: Jersey (numbered), shorts, socks.
    • Tier 4: 2 jerseys (light blue away & pink home), shorts, socks.
    • Adult: Jersey (numbered).
    • Balls provided for games/practices.
    • Tracksuits optional (fundraising required).
    • All coaches receive a Cold Lake Soccer “COACH/STAFF” shirt.

Volunteer Incentives

No bonds — paid incentives instead:

House League:
• Assistant Coach - $300
• Head Coach - $500

Tier 4 League:
• Manager - $200
• Assistant Coach - $350
• Head Coach - $500

Misc. Duties - $15-$25/hr (e.g., setup, raffles, field work).

Notes:
• Incentives are additive (multiple roles = multiple payouts).
• Tier 4 incentives are 50% higher due to added commitments.
• Teams without volunteers may be dissolved.

House League Fees Include:
• Association overhead
• Jersey (Timbit or numbered)
• Facility rental
• ASA & Lakeland fees
• FunFest
• Volunteer incentives

Tier 4 League Fees Include:
• Association overhead
• 2 jerseys
• Facility rental
• ASA & Lakeland fees
• Lakeland Cup fee
• 1 additional tournament
• Volunteer incentives
